Football Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the international break, but will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of October.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
