Manchester United Set to Secure German Striker Lea Schüller from the Bavarian Giants
Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific German striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Signing for the WSL Side
The forward, with six months remaining on her contract, is known as a consistent goal-getter for both club and country. Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for her country. This signing will be seen as a marquee coup for the WSL side.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated since she appeared to be holding back emotions while thanking the German club’s fans following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its top strikers. Per reports, the formalities for the transfer have now been completed.
Consistent Goalscoring to Boost United's Attack
The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a major uplift to the team's attacking options. Schüller has been remarkably consistent in front of goal in the Bundesliga.
- Over seven straight seasons, including the last term, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She claimed the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

Securing Schüller’s signature comes at a time when United appear to be gathering momentum.
