The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The celebrated game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
