Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Honour

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
